Welcome Steve. I look forward to your efforts.

Welcome Steve. I look forward to your efforts.

Congratulations and best wishes.

From one Jamestown resident to another Good Luck and I am looking forward to more of your excellent work.

Welcome aboard. I hope you enjoy the midwest. I hail from just east of Rochester,Mn. and came east to West Seneca,NY after my 2 yr. army hitch. My former commander upon discharge recruited me out here, hailed from Frewsburg and was a UB grad. My dad was an agent telegrapher 47 yrs on the CNW and I fired one summer. Also was 10 years a Scouter and my son made his Eagle at 13 and got his triple Eagle. Thus we have alot in common. Few years ago I recognized a picture of DM&E approaching Eyota,MN from the east, called Andy to confirm it and told him I sat on my dad’s platform many days watching down that 2mi. stretch watching for trains making the curve way down there. Also in "48 stood beside dad when he handed up orders to Pres. Trumans campaign train. Enough, I’ve still got it in the blood and take my grandson to the Depew station to watch Amtrak and CSX trains. Good Luck.

Welcome aboard, Steve. Looking forward to more of your entertaining articles.

P.S. to the individual who wrote your bio: once an Eagle Scout, always an Eagle Scout - it doesn’t fade with time.

Welcome aboard, Mr Sweeney!

Congratulations, Steve! Looks like we can continue to expect lots of good reading in the pages of Trains and here online, too.

I’ve known Steve for some time now. Besides sharing interest in the Erie RR, we are both large scale model railroaders. I tell you that you could not have found a better person for that position than Steve. Good luck Steve, and remember, your operating rights will continue to exist on my railroad.

Welcome aboard to a fine organization that is highly respected in its field of expertise.

Welcome aboard, Steve. I see that you’re a graduate of SUNY Fredonia. Hail, Hail Fredonia. Land of the brave and free! Hope that all your signals are clean and green!
