I had the dcc but the responce is too slow for me so I will need some sound that works with dc I did see a marklin sound box but it sold for over $100 ouchhhhhh
nothing but some old sound wistle for now

You need to adjust the CVs to achieve the response you desire. DCC responds just as quickly as DC, and DCC add CVs to control that response in each locomotive.
I did get the digitrax programer from a guy in england for $40 I only have the cheap mrc 2000 but none of my pals like to use trains and with the single track over the bridge here I have a hard time running more that 3 locomotives I got the walkaround controler two mrc 2000 I was going to get a yard and have 20 40 100 locos running ahhhh what did I do I just hooked up the mrc 9500 with protos pullin 20 somthing rolling stock
and I have a ball If I only knew then
