The number change might make the stamp more collectable.
Not exactly. Why do you think CSX 8888 isn’t in a musuem?
Total silliness, eh?
Awesome. Gonna have to get me some!
Want to know the REAL reason Amtrak removes the numbers on their calendar shots?
When the P42s were the latest thing, they put an image of two of them running “elephant style” on the cover of the National Timetable. Problem was the image was a composite illustration made by combining two images of the same locomotive, and you could plainly read the number “123” on the side of BOTH units! Ruh-roh!!
Ever since they have removed the engine numbers in images used for timetables or advertising, to make sure THAT boo-boo never happens again.
And now you know…the REST…of the story!
Mr Falconer, what stamp?
Is that any worse than CB&Q’s publicity photos of the Denver Zephyr which relocated the Chicago-Aurora main to the Colorado Front Range?
Maybe Canada is planning on minting a C$10. coin, the “Deci-Loon”.
What a switch! The Canadian government’s hostility toward Via has been more rampant the what Amtrak experienced in this country.
A little railroad superstition. Sweet!
I too would like to get the new $10.00. Other than postage stamps, we don’t have any trains on our money. And of course, don’t forget that Mr. Van Horn is on money.
The big question is…Does the note smell like maple syrup?
Then Harper gave VIA the $10 note as its operating budget for next year…
I have to make a correction here. There is a steam engine in the USA passports. Sorry.
