I am impressed of the smoothness and integrity of the right of away that allows such a large and varied train to move at speed, with an apparent effortless glide. Maybe the success of the circus train really lies in the infrastructure, as much as the cargo!
I worked for the Red unit in the early 70’s. I worked for an animal trainer so I lived in one of the stock cars, #32 to be exact. We traveled all across the states and parts of Canada during my almost 3 years with the RBB&B. What a wonderful experience as an adventure and a rail fan!! Thanks for posting this video.
Mr. Gilliam you do great work.
Thanks
I WAS ALSO INVOLVED IN A CIRCUS TRAIN AND CAME FACE TO FACE WITH A BOA CONSTRICTOR WHEN I WAS DELIVERING A TELEGRAM TO THE SNAKES OWNER - =STOP - STAND STILL -DO NOT MOVE - I GUESS NOT - THE STINK DID NOT COME FROM THE SNAKE … ( haha )…
