Y’all! Art Director Tom Danneman and I (and possibly some other members of the staff) will be at the train watching platform in Rochelle, Ill., this coming Saturday. We’ve got some mock ups of some possible design tweaks we’d like to show you and get your reaction to them. I suspect we’ll be there mid-morning through early afternoon. So, if you can, come by and visit. We’d be delighted to meet you. Jim Wrinn, Editor
I wish I could. But sorry. I can’t attend.
I wish I could attend on Saturday, but we have a family gathering off in the opposite direction (believe me, a trip to Rochelle would be a lot easier!).
Can you tell us what you plan on tweaking?
Doh! If I had a little more time I might have been able to snag a good airfare back to Chi-town. Still…might quick run a price check and see if I can make it. I’ve been a fan of both you and Tom for a long time, Jim. It would be great to meet you!
[#ditto] on the desire, but unfortunately my wife and I are already booked for a mid-morning meeting at church. Given the three hours transit time from Iowa, and the odds that I’d get there after you’re long gone, I’ll have to pass on this one. I won’t say that it’d be a waste of gas under those circumstances, though- I’d still spend some time at the park!
hmm… 20 hour plane trip from here to say LA… then what? 3-4 hour flight domestic? Wish I could [banghead]
Chris, No problem–I’ll come to you! Seriously, my wife and I will be at the Durango & Silverton’s railroad festival late next month, taking the photo outing on the 24th and the office car special on the 26th. Hope to see you and some other narrow gauge/steam/Colorado fans as well. Jim
Jim, gotta check the schedule, but if I can make it, I will.
Grandson’s first birthday party Saturday. In Cincinnati, otherwise I’d bring him out to watch trains. Never too early to start.
