TrainsMag.com e-mail newsletter format choice now available

I’m happy to report that we’ve updated the user profile portion of our site so you can now choose to receive our e-mail newsletters in either text or HTML. If you would rather receive our e-mails in the text format, click Update Profile next to your user name and select Text under the Newsletter heading. If you like the HTML format, you don’t have to do anything (the default is HTML).

Thanks,
Erik

And thanks for switching to the 24 hour clock format – there’s so much less redudant info, involved.

Happy Xmas.

I like the HTML format and the other changes EXCEPT one. I prefer having posted times back in the 12hr format.

Take care

Me too, I preferred the old time format. I love the ability to post pictures, though – thanks!!

On the one hand the new format looks nice.

On the other hand the new format takes up about 57K in my email storage space.

So sticking with the new format will prompt me to get in there and delete it as soon as I finish reading reading it to make way for my other newsletters. But going back to the old way makes it hard to read. [sigh]

As a Former “MILITARY” person,Firefighter/EMT
I love the 24/hr time. My watch, and other clocks
in my house are set that way. That is the only way
to go. In most of the jobs I’ve held,We have ALWAYSused 24/hr time. It easy for me to convert times.
easier than most people care to think about.

THANK YOU,

locomutt

24 works for me also. You could also leave it in zulu (GMT) if you want.

Agreed on the whole 24 hour thing.

I agree too, The CP rail runs by 24 Hour Time, Any Railroad uses 24 hour time - or should. I think it’s great.

Ps to Everyone, Take the number greater then 12, so if it says 13, jsut subtract 12 and there you have it… 1pm

16 - 12= 4pm
23 - 12 = 11PM
