It looks like they are funding studies at reputable institutions, to reduce energy use and reduce polution. That is not "It’s only “greasing schlock scientists’ palms”. I did a search for “climate change” articles on the BP website, while I only looked at a few of them at random, they were all about reducing pollution. None I read were “refruiting GW proponents”
