Hi its me again the new guy to g scale. I have bought my track, now i need a power supply that wont make me broke LOL. Anyway i was recomended to get at least 3amps of power. will any power supply run aristocraft trains? what would you recomend me using and where is the best online store to get it.
3 amp should do you fine, for now. If you plan on maintaining track power (not converting to battery) and have palns of doing “block power assinmnets” as in the smaller scales, to run severl at one time, then you might want to look at something in the 10~ amp range. In my case, the 2.5 amp unit I started with (now running with a 15 amp unit) now has special duty supplying power for street and house lights. (yes I run both DC and AC lighting)
I have the 3 amp Bridgewerks unit. Works well on my 150 foot layout and easily lets my LGB Southern pull a 7 car consist up a 3% grade. Regards, Dennis.

Thanks again guys for your knowledge.
With Arsitocraft, there are the 10, 13, and 15 amp supplies, and you also need a speed/direction controller. Power is separate from the controllers as they sell wired and Radio Control setups.
RC is available as 10 amp trackside (27 mhz Black case), 3 amp on board (75mhz Grey transmitter case) and a newer 2.4 g version (LCD screen).
Wired controllers are newest 15 amp, 10 amp, and some older smaller current wired controllers.
PS, there is a Basic orange colored TE which is 3 amps max and not digital transmission and runs on the 27mhz band.
PPS the 27mhz band is also used by CB radios and if a close neighbor is transmitting, it can interfere with your train operation if on the smae channel.
