What is the current status of the Tri-Rail DMUs built by Colorado Railcar? Are they still in service, stored, up for sale? What was Tri-Rail’s operating experience with the equipment?

Thanks for any insights. I’m not looking for a general debate about the merits of DMUs vs RDCs or one type of DMU vs another–just any real information on the results/use obtained with these cars.

one caught fire while being fueled (running the fuel line next to the exhaust pipe not a good idea), and was destroyed.
