I’m running a WW2 train today in conjunction with our BBQ as tribute to the WW2 and Korean War vets of the USA, Canada, Great Britain and all the other allied countries of that era. This includes my stepfather SFC Henry Jager who adopted me and brought me to this country in 1948 at the age of five.

Rest in Peace Pop! You and your buddies paid your dues for us!

Thanks IO my dad served in both of those wars. Wish he was still around to talk to.

Thank you for your tribute.

I built this Army Medical Car in tribute to my father. He served on Hospital cars running from San Francisco to NY, during WWII.

This car will be entered in the model contest at NGRC [tomorrow].

All the best to you in the contest. The car looks fantastic. I remember when I was a kid and we’d ride the train (Alaska Railroad) from Whittier to Anchorage I’d see all the old WW2 troop train cars in disuse on the sidings. I’ve still got a thing for them. I’ve been looking to finds some online and have had no luck except for the USATrains freight cars.
