Trouble buying Code 83

I am having trouble finding code 83 Walthers track. Their site is SOLD OUT. need a total of 39 PLUS 4 double crossovers. The design is based on this mfg specs. If this is no longer available for soe reason then I will redesign and go atlas instead (100% DCC design). I understand that the #6 double cross comes in 100 only, I was going to use a code 83 to code 100 adapter IF I CAN FIND THEM. AM I just looking in the wrong place? Buying direct from Walthers to purchase. 1sy place hobbies has some parts but no all. They do not have the Code 83 #5 or #8 also no #6 3 way or #6 double slip. I got 600ft of Atlas 83 Flex so far but need another 250.
Thank YOu

try www.standerdhobby.com

Walthers is now making DCC-friendly turnouts so no wonder they don’t make those old ones anymore - what’s the point. Some of the new ones are already in stock, others will be available end of July.

Try Standard Hobby as EMT suggested, they have great prices on Code 83. I found Atlas Code 83 flex 3’ sections for as low as $ 2.49 a piece. They may have Walthers as well. Steve

I did not know that was the OLD STYLE, Thank you. The 2005 Walthers HO guide should be the new DCC correct.
Thank You

Clayts,

Walthers is sold out in the US and there is a rumor that a new shipment of switches is en route in a container coming from China as we speak. I have been looking for some curved #8s and no one I have called (all over the country) has any. Everyone is saying that they are waiting for Walthers to get the next shipment fromn the factory. I’m not sure when this will be, but I am hanging tough doing other things until I can get the switch I need. You might try looking on Ebay, but IMHO this shortage is temporary, so don’t get carried away bidding. The other posters are right about the DCC friendly thing…I presume you are buying DCC friendly switches???

I’ve noticed that more items are “sold out” at Walthers. Things that make you say, “hmmmm”…
