Trouble getting on forums

Has anyone had any trauble getting on the forems? I was here abour 10 minutes reading a thread and clicked the back button to go back to the forums and gor a message saying “Wer’e sorry the page you are trying to access contains errors and no longer exist” I have gotten this several times lately, I can wait a few minutes and try again and everything is fine. I do not feel the problem is in the computer because I have tried on both comuters and get the same thing. Just wondering. Mike

It done it again, maybe after posting or replying

Yep, I got the same thing. Teething troubles I expect.

Yes Mike i too “timed out”. I dropped off the site completely, called up MMR again and was logged back on.

There must be a problem with the site, because it happened to me also. Then along the way I couldn’t get on the site at all. I went to another site for about 10 minutes and was able to get back on and answer this thread. growing pains I guess.

Ditto here! Lost the page for a bit, then got it back, loging in has been hit or miss at best,

It’s nice to know that the next ambulance I hear is not coming to carry me away to the “funny farm” - is that PI - politically incorrect???

I had been making a post to your new road name topic and went out to google to make sure some information was correct - and before I could come back to trains.com and the forum I crashed/hung up requiring a power down to recover my machine - (naturally I lost my post to your “new name” topic) - I spent thirty minutes sending a “nastygram” to MSN TV, my ISP; when I tried to reaccess trains.com it took me another half an hour before it came up; when I have to power down I almost always clear my cookies and I thought that that was maybe one of the problems I was experienceing and I was about ready to send another “nastygram” to MSN TV. And then, suddenly, out of nowhere, everything came back up; trains.com’s server must have crashed; I have no experience programming micro-systems except as slaves to mainframes and the terminology is a bit different but this happens frequently in the computer environement.

Ring!Ring!

“My computer is down!”
“I’ve got news for you; everybody’s computer is down!!”

Ring!Ring!

“My computer is down!”
etc. etc. etc. ad infinitum! ad nauseum!

Maybe - but I doubt it - Bergie will give us an explanation - with many, many years in the computer business (maintenance and operations in the Air Force; operations and programming in the white collar world) I get naturally curious about such things.

As an aside maybe I’m mistaken about this but about two months ago didn’t I send you a personal e-mail through the forum about who-can-remember-what? Anyway let me take this time to tell you that I’ve enjoyed your postings.

Thank rt nd everyone else at least I don;t have to get out the pistol for the computer. Maybe it will get better.

rt I appreciate hearing your response. You said you are from Stillwater? Not to far from here. Whw would you include Ardmore in the name for my RR? Something special about Ardmore I do not know about? Thanks again. Mike

Never mind rt about the Ardmore thing, I am trying to do to many things at one time

I have had that problem myself once or twice

Me too. I retyped my password and it let me back in again. Terry

I too have had a little trouble getting the website. Several times have gotten the" page no longer exists’ message. Also I had the Model Railroader site book marked which wouldn’tload at all. Changed the bookmark to Tains.com forums and am having much better luck. Also losing the site from time to time using the back button. I do like the new format though.

the forum is in need of a big fly swater. still a few bugs around lol

We are all in the big club of those who think computers and web sites ought to be trouble free. After all, considering the entrence fee to this site…

It has set high standardsfor itself…sometimes. Today, though, I couldn’t get on for several hours…

nothing for me.

I have had the message “Wer’e sorry the page you are trying to access contains errors and no longer exist” appear a few times while I was reading the posts on the forum. At first I thought it might be my internet connection but now see it’s a problem with the forum.

That has happened a few times to me also. It is par for the course to have some problems with a new software package.

I would guess you will see some changes in the next few months addressing some of the things many have written about, but it will take some time.

I am amazed and very happy that more problems did not come up with a new package like this. This forum was missed while it was down for the update.

Thanks MR for the effort.

Navagating this new format is real pain. I’m having all sorts of problems. I think its got to do with my browser.[%-)]

Happened here, too. I had just written a long, informative post, with many links.

I use Firefox. I don’t know if IE has these problems.
