I have an Atlas MP15DC Diesel that I bought second hand. It works well except that sometimes it does not want to change diredction from Forward to Reverse, even though the directional headlights do. When I open the trottle on the cab-1, it wants to move forward even though I have told it to reverse. I have been just stopping and restarting, using the cab-1. After a couple of attempts, it will move in reverse. It was built in 2007 ( I think). Other than that, it runs well. Any advice?

George, Did your engine come with an instruction booklet, or do you have a Lionel T.M.C.C. booklet, so that you may reprogram your engine? If, you do have a book and after reprogramming the engine still malfunctions, I would suggest taking it to a qualified repair center, if you feel that the engine is worth it. Ralph
I did not get a book with this one. I tried reprogramming it from a book on the Atlas O GP-35 that I have. It seemed to help, but the problem still happens. I have an e mail in to Atlas O. We’ll see what happens.
