Trucks ?

Except for the train “purist”, does it matter if a freight car has one Staple-end truck and one Bar-end truck (provided that the car operates properly)? As always, many thanks.

No.

No.

It might depend on how many rivets you count or how many rivet counters you meet. If one of them fusses, tell them the car was in a wreck and you put the first available truck you could find under the car to replace the damaged one.

That’s what I thought. MANY THANKS.

Since “bar-end” trucks were introduced right after the use of “staple-end” trucks, it’s not only conceivable, but probable that at least some came from the Lionel factory that way.

Thanks Jim.
