I went into Decoder Pro to tweak the settings on a medium steam Tsunami. The only tab I could access was the CV tab. All other tabs came up with the message “Tab disabled because there are no options in this category”. Well, we know that’s not true! I tried another loco with the same type decoder, and got the same message. All the other locos in the roster, including one diesel Tsunami come up on Decoder Pro as they should. What am I doing wrong?
Although that is really only a test version. It’s mostly stable enough for general use, but there are some issues popping up, mostly with panels and scripting though. 2.8 is the latest ‘stable’ release. 2.9.4 also changes things with the communications libraries used to conenct to whatever layout interface you happen to be using, so you have to read the release notes carefully, especially if you are using a Mac or Linux system.
On the Tools menu, rebuild the decoder index and rebuild your roster index. Somethign may hav gotten corrupted. Also, which programmer are you selecting? Comprehensive? If you use Basic you won;t get all the pages.
I doubt it’ the decoder. Easy test, program one of the CVs with your throttle. If it responds, the decoder is fine, and it’s DecoderPro that has the problem.
Randy, I don’t see those options in the tools menu. Do you mean to delete the existing listing in the roster file, and make a new file for the decoder? I’m using the comprehensive programmer.
Peter, thank you for the solution! The instructions were very easy to follow, and now my Tsunami steam roster is updated, and works as it should. Also, thanks to everyone else who responded. This is a great forum!
