Hi all,
I just upgraded my Kato N scale GS-4 from a Soundtraxx DSD-90 to a micro-Tsunami-750 (Heavy steam). The quality in the increase of the sound is incredible, but there are a couple of issues, which I think may be due to programming.

I’m trying to set function 3 as the ‘alternate whistle’, with the SP#4449 horn. However, setting CV115 to a value of 163, as given by both the decoderpro software and calculating from the information in the tsunami technical reference, just seems to disable it. Am I correct in assuming that the SP#4449 whistle is sound #4 and the horn is sound #5? Is there something I’m missing?

CV3 is set to 7, which is my usual steam loco acceleration, however it doesn’t seem to have had any effect, however CV4 is set to 12, and does seem to be having an effect. Am I missing something here?
This is the first time I’ve used a tsunami, and I’ve followed the documentation as far as it will take me. If there’s nothing more that can be done, I’m happy to live with it, but it would be nice.
Given the issues with decoderpro, PR3s and Tsunamis, I’m using the software to work out the CVs and programming manually on my Lenz system - which doesn’t have a problem with reading the decoder back.
Thanks in advance,
tbdanny
