Is there a kit available for building an old time tank car? It actually looks more like two large upright tubs or vats sitting on a flat car.

Yes, but that is very toy-like. I’m looking for something like the 1865 Densmore Oil Tank Car or the Empire Transportation Company rail tank car also invented in 1865.
