I use Lionel O gauge tubular track. What brand switch mates the best with this type of track?
Lionel, of course, then K-Line. You can also use Gargraves, Ross, or Curtis with adapter pins.
While not accepted by all, you can also use 027 switches if you swell the rail to fit the bigger pin, or tighten the hole in the O track.
Also, if you expand to 027 tubular, you can find quite a few marx switches both manual and remote. the old marx switches have the added benifit of allowing engines with large drive gears to run through without derailing.
May I suggest stay away from Lionel switch # 6-23011 & 6-23010, they are sectional track style switches that Lionel MUST Have been experimenting with because I have nothing but trouble from these switches. Problems were: not working at all, lights flickering, Williams locomotives making the switch go BONKERS!!
Replaced all those switches with GarGraves switches and track and have been having fun with my trains.

I use Lionel " O " guage track and Lionel " 0-22 switches “. NOT…
Lionel " 031 " switches. There is a big difference. The later does not work
with bigger engines. Also, if you decide to go with " 0-27 " switches,
then you are restricted as to the engines you can use. The larger ones
require AT LEAST 31” curves.

I use tubular O27 track and a little O, also Marx switches.
I have not had very good luck with Gar Graves switches. I have also had some derailment problems with Lionel O72 switches. I would use Atlas with adapter pins.
