Tucker Hollow station model (w/ photos)

I worked on another project all day today. I’ve been getting over bronchitis and really didn’t have a lot energy, so I sat at my workbench and started messing with this old station.

This was a poorly constructed, unpainted POC I picked up for a dollar at a train show. I think it’s a Pikesville model. Anyway, I’ve always wondered if I could disassemble it and rebuild with a good coat of paint, weathering and details. Look how this thing turned out! I’ve never built anything this good before! [:0]

Thanks for stopping by to take a look and for letting me show off my latest project. You experienced craftsman kit builders can stop snickering now. [;)]

I don’t know, but I like it. The cracked glass is great!

Thanks! I got to try two new things on this building. I faded the signs as recommended by George Selios. He suggests sanding them down thin and ragged.

The glass cracks were from someone else’s project in MR. I used a hobby knife to cut little crack lines in the film.
