I have only a small layout using Atlas remote control turnout switches and have terrible time identifying which switch to activate for which loco to avoid collisions. Layout is only 5 x10 and I have a control pannel layout with switches numbered etc. but it seems the locos get to the turnout before my brain can sense the danger. I have been thinking of installing some lights or leds on the control pannel to indicate turnout direction. Is there a standard lighting system I could use that would be activated by my Atlas switch controls? Seems the main problem occurs when the locos are approaching the turnouts on the far side of the layout. I am new to this hobby and maybe my skills will improve with experience although at my age new skills are difficult to acquire. Any help or advice would be appreciated. I hate to think aabout completely redoing the turnout control but if that is the only cure I guess I would write the present system off to experience. Please be kind to this old man.

you are going to have to install an Atlas relay along with the turnout machine to control panel lighting…the turnout machine only supplies an A/C power momentarily when you pu***he button on the slide switch and when you release it, there is no more power…if you send me an e-mail, i have some drawings I did in microsoft word that I can send back to you to show you how to wire the relay and the turnout machine together…chuck
