At Pine Bluff, Arkansas shops (SSW ((museum))) there is a “turntable”, NOT the usual. I wonder how common this type is? The “table” is retangular and moves from side to side. As tracks inside the shop are parallel to each other, correspondingly there are tracks on the opposite side of the table tracks match each of the inside for entrance tracks onto the table. I wonder if there is a common name for this, to note that it is not a TURNtable.? endmrw0125252316
It is often called a “transfer table”. They would mostly be found at major shops, especially car shops, so have become quite rare as those shops have gradually vanished from the scene. Often facility security means the ones that still exist are hidden from public view, or even inside a building.
