With three-rail track, there is no reversal.
Ha! Thanks, Bob. I didn’t test it powered for fear of damaging something. Must be a hold-over from my N-gauge days.
I was also trying out a long hook that I could use to spin the turntable. Haven’t got to the store to look at ‘lazy susans’ yet.
Doug,
Rubber Maid used to make inexpensive lazy Susans. I think you can find them at Wal Mart, Target or just about any discount store for a few bucks. We’ve got one around here somewhere that I might experiment with (if I could just find it!!!)
Doug,
Some thing to keep in mind when powering the bridge.
If you don’t want to deal with twisting wires consider what I did on mine, as mention above, I used HO flex track in the pit & HO trucks on the bridge for easy power pick-up.
Pat, would you mind explaining a bit more how you use the flex track and trucks? I’m willing to not power the actual turntable movement…
Doug,
I basically bought 2 HO power trucks(the ones with brass wipers on the wheels).
I attached wires to them, then ran the wires up to the bridge and soldered to the deck rails.
The trucks were then attached to the bottom of thedeck.
The HO flex track was run around the inside perimeter of the pit.
One wire was soldered to each rail then dropped down for power feeds.
I would be happy to give you more detail Doug.
