Its been a year since I got those decals in MR and i only first used them today. I ended up using them on a Chip car that will be seeing many miles of surice on my layout, So what did you guys use them on?
-Justin
Simple. I didn’t. I didn’t have a car I could use them on nor did I have a use for them since I am not modeling that railroad. [;)]

They are still in whatever issue they came in, just waiting for me to remember and dig ‘em out. I have an old 40’ box that would look good with them on it, sitting abandoned on that kudzu covered siding.
I think I lost the stickers – illogical as that is, no idea where they are… June 2003 issue right?[banghead]
I tested a couple of detailing techniques on a JnJ GP15 shell (N-scale), so I didn’t base it on any specific prototype, and lettered it for Turtle Creek Central
Unfortunately, my camera doesn’t focus too well on such small items, so the picture quality isn’t so good.

I used some of mine on an old Model Power flat car that I fitted Kadees to and repainted - looks pretty good now, just needs a load to finish it off. I keep meaning to find the sheet with the remaining decals on it and put it in the spares box!
Good thing Microscale sells the sheet separatly.
I Plan on painting up a complete roster of locomotives and freight cars. How I am going to have it interchange with the GN considering the line is supposed to be in Pennsylvania I havn’t figured out yet. But give me eneugh time and I can get it figured out.

I applied mine to an Accurail boxcar identical to the one shown in the Turtle Creek layout article so it’s an exact match. In fact, I have MR project layout cars for the Pine Tree Central, Carbondale Central, Gold Hill Central, Seaboard Central, Alkali Central, and a number of others spanning some 5 decades of MR. In most cases I created custom decals on my ALPS printer to match logos and heralds associated with the particular layout appearing in the magazine and applied them to appropriate cars. Pulled by an MR&T locomotive, I find them a good conversations starter at train shows.

I did a couple of different boxcars. Just a little variety on the ol’ layout.
