Hello there! I wanted to express how impressed I am in looking at your thread. I’d like to point out to others as well, this is N scale and N scale is no easy task. I can see myself studying your pics as well as re-reading your posts. I personally enjoy looking at other modelers works. It gives me added inspiration. I model with N scale and do my best to Scratch Build many of my buildings. Finding solutions on how to build something is the part I like best. Studying your pics I get insight. Today installation of the first track of the turntable. Here is the first test :

I have modified the look the walthers turntable : Weathering of the pit, painting hand rails and cab, Rio Grande decalcs :

This morning the turntable have been weathered :

Lots of work remain !

Here the first parts of the roundhouse interior. I have design the elements with some photo of real interior of modern roundhouse.

Lots of these elements are scratch built to fit the photo and the atmosphere i want to represent.

First is the access platform. It’s made with evergreen shit and strip, handrails by plastruct :
