TV alert: Great Train Robbery Jan 5, 7pm CDT

Michael Crichton’s 1979 adaption is on TCM tonight (Friday 1/5) at 7pm CST. Michael Crichton directed this adaptation of his novel chronicling the first robbery of a moving train in 1855.

Good show, and done fairly closely to the script (probably because Chrichton was very involved with the making of the movie). If you like it, though, I would recommend getting the book and reading it. Probably one of his more unknown books (as opposed to, say, Jurassic Park), but great none the less.

thanks to this alert we saw it.

I liked the movie. Sean Connery was on top of the train not a stuntman.
