History channel 7pm & 11pm CDT

I thought it was a good show. Plenty of info but it wasn’t overtly technical. Who else watched it?

It was broadcast in High Definition. Nice description of Bailey
That glimpse into how the yard and ops centers was prety neat. The show piqued my curiosity in working for RRs.
I watched most of it. It was interesting riding in the BNSF cab and watching the engineer describe his job. His explanation of the braking system was easy to understand for the viewer.
I saw the last half and thought it was very interesting. It’s nice that they have the modern GEVO’s in it. This was also the first time I finally understood what dynamic braking actually does. I can see how the new Hybrids will be a much better use of all of that energy that’s wasted right now.
Too bad they had to follow it with a “the-world-is-going-to-end” science show. I watched it, and thought it was interesting, too, but it didn’t leave you in a very good mood. [:-^]
