Been there a few time living in Minnesota, it a nice layout…
A very impressive transportation system. Hope to get to see it someday.
This is as clean and detailed a layout as you will find. I really enjoyed the multi-trains running in the video. All in all, quite enjoyable. Makes me think about going back to “O” scale.
A very enjoyable ride to the scenic highlights of the layout. Nicely done!
A very nice layout and presentation. But I will nitpick. All the trains are too short. Give those sleek varnish sets four or five more cars, and at least double the length of the freights. That simple step will increase everyone’s pleasure in viewing this laudable railroad operation.
Very nice. Thanks for sharing.
Excellent video, loved the UP Big Boy’s outing.
Joe Guglietti from Manitoba: Very nice video. John when did you make this video?
I went there once with my son, grandson and granddaughter. We had a great time! They have some buttons for the little people to push and activate things on the layout. They also have a step around the layout for the little kids to stand on. I was told that all of the track was hand laid. The bridges are really cool and it portrays the local surrounding communities of Minneapolis and Saint Paul. They also have little wooden laouts for the kids to push cars around.
Great Railroad. Had the opportunity to visit there when in Minnesota. I was pleased to see a coal hopper from my Genesee Terminal RR parked under the coal tower in the engine yard when I last visited in November of 2008. Truly beautiful layout with very gracious and hospitable folks who volunteer their time there. Thank you.
Nothing better than true O Scale
Really fine scenery, especially the stone viaduct. It’s seldom we see really good O work being done and fine camera work too, but the music! I just muted the whole thing. Next time try Guy Lombardo.
Very, very nice. I’d love to see a close-up of the concrete bridge in the background, it’s awesome. My only grump-scenes on the video should have been identified…
Enjoy seeing O gauge layouts. Liked the combination of multi- track and single track lines. Would love to learn more about this layout as it appears to be expansive and well detailed. Obviously the product of a dedicated group.
I first visited the Twin City Model Railroad Club when I was 4 or five. Back in the early 10950,s, when my grandfather took me to see it when it was located in the basement of the St. Paul Union Depot.
Excellent video of an outstanding “O” scale layout. I especially enjoyed the music. Big band jazz fits perfectly with watching trains run. This is a real “feel good” video.
why play music lets hear the trains, brilliant layout
Music is GREAT! Can you let us know what the album name(s) is and the group please?
P.S. The layout and video are very fine also!
Great layou! would like to see more.
