Norma, Texas- N&MRR Treasure E.N. Velopes Announced Monday a new mixed train to run twice a week.

E.N. Velopes and Associate Announce the new train!

“Revenue from the Garden Flyer has been significant, “said Velopes, “and our line is hardly finished. A special mixed train christened the Micaela Flyer will be making some extra runs.”

The N&MRR recently purchased a new locomotive, Number 6, from the Sow’s Ear Locomotive and Car Works. Recent controversy over the usage of the Locomotive City of Two Trees prompted N&MRR President Capt. J.E. Carrales to inaugurate the new run.

“This train,” began Carrales, “is to be pulled by a wide variety of locomotives. From the City of Two Trees to some of our heaver Moguls.”

Longtime critic Sampson Betts was silent on the issue.

Ian,

Remember, one of the first Two Trees Times articles was about a German invasion of Queensland circa the Second Geat War.

Thanks for the compliment. There will be others…

Capt Carrales

Capt C. wonderfull and entertaining as always!

Do I understand that So. Texas is soon to be blessed with a branch facility of Ian’s Brewery, “Home of the Down Under Beer”?

I love this stuff! Keep it coming Capt.!

Capt.
Anxiously awaiting another edition to learn more about the Z scale adventures. . .

Rene;

first set of pictures did not come out. Retook the pix, should be able to post Mr. Flatbottom and his garden RR Saturday 08 sep.

No mate we can’t get an import licence from the US Government.

Rgds Ian

Ian,

I would very much like to see some “journalistic fiction” from your line. Or you can send me pics or articles for publication in the Two Trees Times or to Trigg for the Rosebub Publication.

Regards,
Capt Carrales

Ian,
Who needs an import liscense if you build a branch brewery right there on the N&M ROW! One side of brewery could have incoming raw ingredients siding, while the other could have outgoing product. A third siding going round the back of the facility could carry off the waste. I’m sure that Capt. Carrales would be so happy to have such a revenue producing service on his railroad that he would even give a slight discount (like 1/2 of 1%) on his freight rates!

That is a good idea…I have been looking for an Industry for the line…a brewly or distillery would be prerfect. Time to research.

The best thing about doing the Two Trees Times it that it seems to be driving the Hobby.

Capt Carrales

Just remember that the Borracho Brewery and Distillery is already trademarked. I’d hate to have to send Rocco and Vinnie over to explain it to you[;)][:D]

Joe.
With all the replies and edits it gets very confusing.
Why don’t you post the paper to an external source and just post the links here.
I’ve tried to stay current with this, but now I’ve given up.

Its not so confusing…I post a new Two Trees Times every Monday or Tuesday. They will always have a title the reflects the date as per the Monday of the week.

There will most likey be three stories (either news, feature or editorial) a classified section and all replies treated as letter to the editor.

Trigg posts up some Rosebud Publications an dhas an external site.

When I get a few of these going (like ten) I will start making a “links section” of the classified for easy reading of back issues.

I do this to prevent the “mindlessly long” process that “coffeeshop threads” have been famous for. Additionally, old issues of the “TT Times” follow the natural progression of threads here an make there way down into oblivion when they have become too old.

The edits that are credited are usually the corrections of errors I find upon reading latter or brought to my attention by readers.

An external site would be cool, if I could afford one at present…but I have little knowlege no how to do anything asside from TRIPOD.

Capt Carrales

P.S. Sampson Betts may inagurate a Trolley line to compete with the N&MRR.

Capt Carrales,

I’ve got space to host your news articles on my site. How do you host your images? FWIW, simple syndication wouldn’t be hard to do at all. With a little PHP magic, I’m sure I can make it a copy and paste operation. (Don’t get too excited about the copy and paste yet–there’s a lot of work to be done to make it really easy and I don’t have much free time for coding.)
