Hey folks,

I am building a UP baggage car from Train station products and American model builders sides. I got the six wheel trucks for it and am trying to figure out what color they are. Are the the “Platinum mist” color? It seems pretty close. What brands do you use armor yellow and harbor mist gray? I was probably going to go with scalecoat 2. Also if anybody has used AMB cae sides do you recall what size wire you used for the grab irons? The predrilled holes seem pretty large.

UP passenger cars have silver trucks.

It all depends on what time frame you model. Up until the mid 50’s the trucks on the streamliner cars where Harbor Mist Gray, after that they were painted silver.
