Gee, no Indiana politicians in the announcement? What a shock.

This type of spending makes a whole lot more sense than “high-speed rail.”

Does anyone think the Indiana of Richard Mourdock cares? NS and CSX could abandon their east/west mainlines and that crowd wouldn’t bat an eyelash.

I’ll agree with you David. Several long-distance train routes have come and gonein Indiana throughout the years. Routing between Chicago and Indianapolis has changed close to a dozen or so times during Amtrak’s history. The only good exception for Indiana has been across the northern tier of the state,aside from that, it has been a trouble state for Amtrak.
