As I get organized to set up my Christmas Layout at the Redford Theatre next weekend, my brother had a good idea. I am going to be using my RMT U.S. Marines Beep as motive power for one of my trains (a short freight). My brother suggested that I make a “Toys For Tots” car to go with it, so I did.
I took a Lionel ore car (Rock Island) and printed a toys tots logo and glued it to some cardboard. I cut out two of the logos and used a hot glue gun to attach them to the car. Then I filled it full of Christmas presents and it’s ready to go.
Thanks, it’s a nice looking little train. I’m glad my Beep will be getting used this year. It usually doesn’t get much run time. It’ll be sharing the layout with my brothers Thomas the Tank Engine set. When I’m there to run the trains I’ll bring some of my nicer stuff, but otherwise I don’t want to leave anything too expensive at the theater.
