U.S. Military Trains.....

Hi everyone,

I would like to know, did U.S. Military RR. equipment have ‘Poling-Pockets,’ as the Civilian RR’s. had?

Thank you,

Ralph

If I remember what I saw real and in pictures, yes…military railroad was/is standard compatable adapted to country and gauge…

Thank you Henry,

I wasn’t sure, because sometimes the government does different, compared to the standards they set for civilian operations.

Ralph

No, that only applies to (political snide remarks deleted).

Henry,

I know what you mean.

After a fast look most of these photos do not show poling pockets.

THis link to a Thread on the TRAINS Forum may be of interest? (about the art of ‘Poling’)

Thank you samfp1943,

For the military diesels and ‘Poling-Pockets.’
