U28C's on the UP

Does anyone know if UP used any U28C’s into the late 90’s?

all the U28C’s were gone by 1981. the U23B’s hung around till 1994 and the U30C’s were gone by 1989.

Union Pacific - 1990 by George Cockle and Paul Withers shows one U28C in 1990 Road Number 2804. It was an unpowered “Mechanical School Unit” used as a mobile class room for training shop forces. Most of the body behind the cab had been removed to a good view of and access to the engine and other mechinical components.

UP 2804 without its long hood was donated to the National Transportation Museum in Kirkwood, Missouri.

Thanks for the info, guys. I got a pair of U28C’s (UP) as part of a loco lot on eBay. Guess I’ll keep the ones I originally wanted and put these back up on there since I’m modeling the mid-late 90’s.
