Ulrich Models flat car with trailer.

Hello, I just recently purchased a few Ulrich Models flat car with trailers. Does anyone one know how old they are and what is the best way to clean them, they seen to have some crud on them? Thanks! John

What color are the boxes? If you have the boxes?

Those go all the way back to the 50’s, but were in regular production as late as the mid 1980’s under Walthers ownership.

To clean them, I would start with mild soap and water.

Thanks! The boxes look reak old, they are red and black.

I’m pretty sure that makes them from the late 50’s or early 60’s.

The first tractor trailer Ulrich kit I bought,was,1953,for 2.95,all metal, put together with self tapping screws…

Over the year’s,I’ve collected,at last count was 50…They only made two tractors though,COE Mack and conventional,Kenworth,Van Trailer,Flat Bed,with removable sides,Tanker and double dump trailers, west coast style…In My opinion, the best kits made…

Cheers,

Frank

I should clarify, the double dumps, were a tandum axle dump truck and one two axle dump trailer, with a long bar connected to the back of the dump truck, that was considered, west coast style…They tracked better in the CA mountains that way…

Cheers,

Frank
