Uncoupler magnets Buzzzzzzzzzzzzing

I wonder if anyone else has experienced this situation,With between the rail microtrain uncoupler magnet and a rare quiet moment in the train room i can hear a light buzzing almost ringing sound,I an operating with lenz DCC and just noticed this, its coming from the magnet,It dissapears as soon as i shut it down.

Sounds like you’re using AC to power the magnet. If it only sounds off when you are activating the magnet, that’s the problem. If it sounds all the time the DCC is powered up, it’s picking up some from the carrier voltage in the rails, via inductance…

I’m going with the inductance theory it didn’t do it until the ballasting was complete,There not electromagnets just lay in between the rail microtrain delayed uncoupler type. Thanks for your input, somebody else must have run into this

What you probably have is the electricity from the track running through the magnent. When you ballasted there might have been a few metal pieces stuck into the ballast or a current is bouncing off the magnent from the track and is vibrated into the room. There are pulses of electricity running from the rail and even though it doesn’t touch the rail you may be hearing the currents through the air.
The thing to do is cover the magnent with electrical tape and then ballast over it so the electrical currents coming from the rail don’t ring off the magnent.
