There is always a need to uncouple cars where there is no handy uncoupling magnet. What is the method or tool you find best for uncouplig cars?
MR did an “how to” on this very tool. Can’t seem to remember what issue it was ,… but it was MR. Look in MR archives, under uncoupler tools , should be there.

I picked up a couple of the Micromark tools for HO when they had them on sale a few months back. The are basically a metal tapered point. They work fine. I bet you could make something that would work just as well from a wooden skewer.
Shish Ka Bob skewers cut to handy length work great. A pencil will work, a small screwdriver will work, the Rix uncoupling tool will work…etc.
I use a jeweler’s screwdriver, myself.
Chopsticks?
I asked my good friend, the hobby-shop dealer, the same question. A small screwdriver (jeweller’s type) works just great…
