I have an Imagineering Scale Miniature Structures Co. kit. It is called Boilermakers Kit # 001. I bought this a few years ago from a model RR shop in Houston, TX. It has no copyright date or copyright that I can find anywhere on the instructions or box. The company was located in Mt. Sainai, New York. I am wondering if anybody out there has any idea of its age or value before I construct it. Any help would be appreciated. Please contact me through this post or at WSeverin@aol.com. Thank you much!
On March 18, 2013 one sold on EBAY for $170.50. There were 5 bids:
From the listing:
"Imagineering “Boilermakers” HO craftsman kit #001 RARE ~ NIB
“Boilermakers” HO craftsman structure kit #001. This is the first and only kit produced by the Imagineering Scale Miniature Structure Co.
This wonderful and elaborate kit is reminiscent of some of the larger Fine Scale Miniatures kits.
It represents a small wooden rail-side industry with a freight facility, attached office and loading docks. The kit has many possibilities, in that you are not confined to building them as shown in the photo. The kit includes enough lazer-cut wood, to build them as stand-alone buildings.
The kit comes with Northeastern laser-cut and stripwood parts, Grandt Line and Alexander windows
and doors and many other white metal detail castings. The extensive and well illustrated directions are
easy to follow and include instructions for painting and weathering."
There was a conversation that I remember about his kit in @2009 on another forum. There was a member there with the nick Peterpools who designed the model.
You can check out the forum to see if he still posts there
