Union Pacific and Greenbier Auto-Max

Does Union Pacific run any Auto-Max’s in their auto trains? I really like Athearn Genesis’s Auto-Max but I havent personally seen or seen any pictures of Union Pacific auto trains running the Auto-Max. Does anyone know if they do, or how often they run them to justify buying them? Thanks

Automax cars are mainly used by Honda. BNSF (most), KCS (some), and CP (few) own Automax cars for Honda traffic.

I have seen AOK and CSXT Auto-Max cars mixed in with these. Are they hauling Hondas also?

Thrall and Trinity Style Auto Carriers and Gunderson Auto-Max Auto Carriers are operated in unit trains, but I have never see the two types mixed together for real.

A pair of the Gunderson Auto-Max Auto Carriers in the AUTO-MAX or KCS schemes would be best for manifest freight on the Union Pacific.

BNSF has a vehicle train that passes thru Tulsa once or twice a week that is pretty much all Auto-Max cars. You could model a BNSF train with trackage rights or a run thru with UP power on the point…its your railroad.

Yeah, the only time when I see Auto-Maxes is whenever I’m down in San Diego. They pass through the Downtown area all the time.
