Hello,
I search drawings in track O or HO of gas turbine locomotives and U 50 B+C of the union Pacific. Can somebody give me help where I can find the drawings?
Hello there are plans for the B-B B-B (“D”) Turbines that the running gear was recycled from. In the Book “Turbines Westward” there are dimenstioned mechanical drawings o the Turbine that would help. There are also Scale drawings of the Turbine in “Model Railroader Cyclopedia Volume 2”. Also there are dimentioned mech drawings showing the internal mechs with hoods and shell superinposed over them of both the C+ B-B/D models in “Roaring U50’s”. Ths book also has MANY detail drawings. Also there was a book published by Overland called “Giants of the West” which tells the whole story of all of the Big “Double D’s” (Double Diesels) of the Union Pacific which has many photos as well as dimentioned plans as well as the stories of thier predesseccor Turbines.
