Hi I would like to know if the Ticket agents on the three Metra Lines Operated By Union Pacific are emplies of Metra or Union Pacific. I know that MOW, Conductors, Engineares, coach cleaners, and locomotive/coach shop workers on the three UP Metra lines are employed by Union Pacific. But are the ticket agents such as the one at the Wilmette Station, (Marilyn) are employed by UP or Metra? Please let me know thank you.

In our case, the regular hours are posted in a bulletin which is required reading for all employees. Unscheduled absences are probably coordinated by Metra and the crews informed by radio or cell phone.
That’s my understanding as well. UP (and C&NW before it) provide all the personnel required for the service.
Thank you would you by any chance happen to know who/how the ticket agents at outlaying are supervised? The reasson I ask is because, acouple of mounths the ticket agent at Wilmette told a student that they could not buy a reduced fair ticket bbecuase they did not have a student ID. She then pointed to a notice that explained that poloicies for purchasing a reduced fair ticket and siad,“our boss just gave us that.” Just who is their boss (no names please) and where dose he work?
