Does the kit include a lesson on apostrophes? “Railroads” is not possessive.
Thank you, Daniel and James! I thought I was the only living soul who still understood the use of an apostrophe! It is highly ironic to see such a basic and elementary error in an article on education.
This offer by UP is so nice. I wish such kits could be offered for all driver training courses-- high school and adult. Particularly regarding crossing accident prevention.
How about an educational kit on railroads, not railroad’s?
Let the apostrophe be your friend, not your enemy.
Oh who cares we got the story nice touch on the railroad’s part
The compulsion to insert an apostrophe when forming the plural is ubiquitous nowadays. Sadly, many schools consider it “old hat” to earnestly teach grammar and punctuation.
What about the kits? UP should be applauded for this effort! I volunteer with an educator at a railway museum. We host thousands of kids annually and educate them about how “Railroads change everything”, as well as about railroad safety. Such kits could help us deliver those messages.
Just one kit in the hands of one skilled presenter has the power to teach endless youth and if safety is a part of the lesson, countless lives can be saved. Nice job “Uncle Pete”. Congrats on 150th.
