Union Pacific streamliner on ebay...

Before I blow $150.00 or more on another passenger train, I’d like to see what you folks think.
There’s an N scale Union Pacific streamliner on ebay right now that I’d really like to have. It includes an E-6 A & B unit and nine cars. The guy says it’s all used but in very good condition. I’ve been wanting this train for a long time. The thing is, I’ve never delt with the guy before that’s selling it - and he says all sales are final…

If you were in my situation, what would you do ?.

Are both A & B units powered? Just the A unit?
Will there be serious consequences if you do buy it? No?

I’d go for it.

Just the A unit is powered.

The reason I want it is because I saw a picture a while back of an old UP passenger train and it was like-I’ve gotta have one like that!..

“You know how it is”.

Well, it says the locomotives are Life-Like and the cars are Con-cor so the price seems to be right in line with normal street price for those. About $41 for locos and $10 per car.

It is interesting that both the negative feedback are recent and both are similar. I looked at the feed back of the two leaving them and they look pretty clean. The one fellow’s only negative looks like retaliation from this seller. An escalated misunderstanding?

On a different track - I would ask if you are going to be disapointed with these E units and regret not waiting for the ones with sound? On the other hand you could always buy this to get the cars and turn around an sell the locos when the sound equiped ones finally come out.

If you are having doubts about the seller or the locos, it might be better to wait for another set to come along. If you are patient it seems like something pops out of the woodwork eventually and it is often in better shape for a similar price or even less. I have got at least two locos I wish I had waited for instead of buying the first thing that came along.
