I understand that some of the members of the UP steam program are gona retire some time next year. It this infomation coerrect? And if this is true. Then what will happen to the future of UP Steam?

I certainly hope they have been training people to carry on the program. It would truly suck if UP pulled the plug!!!

I believe that you mean the only steam locomotive in the United States to not have bee retired? [%-)] Globally, China is still operating original steam locomotives in regular freight service in parts of the country.[swg]
