I posted those pictures maybe two years ago but recently found the below link. The loader in the pictures is a Herzog brand. Some people thought the loader in the pictures was something someone bashed together and maybe one of a kind.

Actually it’s a Caterpillar Tractor-Backhoe-Loader modified by Herzog…there are a couple of competing machines on the market, modified hydraulic excavators (trackhoes):

Yeah, after I expanded the picture, I saw the Herzog label embossed in the boom and started looking around the 'Net. I did find a couple other similar models.

The picture of that one on a special transportation truck is quite interesting as I saw the loader on a hopper car but was wondering how that particular one was put in place.
