To day in West Chicago, I was waiting for something, then I see UP 7605 by itself (no other engines) leading a small intermodel freight to Proviso! SWEET!

Is that what it is called? Because I have been seeing alot of short intermodel trains on Saturdays.
Glad it made it home!
Pat and I saw this unit leading a K-Line stack train Wednesday afternoon, east of Tucumcari, New Mexico.
What is the 7605? Isn’t it a C45ACCTE?
Yeah, it has a GE paint scheme though and is more or less a big ad for GE.

ES44AC- found this shot on rrpicturearchives.
Here is a shot with some good info:
Same thing. C45ACCTE is UP’s designation for GE ES44AC.
Edit: Anyone know why?
That is a neat looking engine. I wonder if that’ll get a patch, LOL. Sorry…old habits die hard!
This looks identical to the paint applied to GE 2005. Is there any reason that UP allowed this unit to be painted other than yellow/gray??? UP doesn’t normally deviate from their standard colors unless there is a da*n good reason or they get something out of it.

I don’t care why they chose to paint it like that, but I hope they don’t change it. It is kind like the UP’s first GE heritage unit! Not heritage like 1995, or 1982. But like 3300, 2001, and 2002.
BTW, where are 3300, 2001, and 2002?
according to this site http://drgw.net/locotrace/newtrace.php?s=smart

So on Wednsday, UP1995 will be going to Council Bluffs. At what time would it get to Rochelle?
IIRC, typically the MPRCB leaves Proviso around 9:30 AM, if things are running smoothly. If that holds true, it typically hits Rochelle between 11 AM and 1 PM. Carl will correct me if I’m wrong…
well what about it coming back from Council Bluffs? Then when would it get to Rochelle?
Given the heavy traffic on the transcon between CB and Rochelle, combined with the distance, the ETA of MCBPR at Rochelle would be about impossible to predict, even if I knew the approximate departure day/time, which I don’t. Sorry.
No propblem. BTW, what does ETA mean?
Estimated Time of Arrival.
So, now UP 1995 is going to go through Iowa on Wednesday…too bad I’m not up there THIS week (last week I went up there on Wednesday and saw the Centennial). Oh well! [:D]
I never heard about this engine. Strange if the UP actually ordered it like this. Was this a unit UP ordered or was it just another GE prototype? It kind of looks like the “UP” letters between the number boards were slapped up there.
