My son & I plan to head to Cheyenne next Thursday to watch UP 844 heading out on it’s latest trip. I was wondering if anyone knows if they’ll leave directly from the steam shop area, or if they’ll be by the depot before they depart. Basically I just want to know where to go to get the best views of the departing train.

This link is to the Schedule for the upcoming March 22–28 Shiloh Limited. Just guessing from the times listed, I’d guess the trip will start from the Shops area and proceed to the first listd service stop.(?)
