Does anyone know why Union Pacific’s locomotive 8444 (the 844) is in Denver? I was sitting in Union Station this morning when I came into work. It had a short mainenance train behind it including a caboose. Most of the box cars had “snow plow service” labeling.
There’s a pic of 844 on railpictures.net today and caption said it was 844’s break-in run from Cheyenne.
Dadgummit…just drove around Denver looking for the places it could be hiding to no avail. It must’ve turned around and headed back? Son of a gun, I’ve been having a recurring dream that it was coming to town. Just figured that it meant for the Frontier Days Train…
