Are the Bonneville Salt Flats a part of that north arm?
No, the Salt Flats are west of the lake.
It is very interesting to see photos of Great Salt Lake. As far back as the 1970s, I remember seeing the difference in tone between the north arm and southern part of Great Salt Lake in black and white photos.
A little more dramatic look when color photos from space became available. The split of course happens
where the causeway crosses the lake, and shows how the different salinity levels effect it. Will be interesting
to see if that difference is still apparent after the bridge has been completed, and the interchange of water
between the two parts of the lake has improved after a couple of years.
Again, a picture would have been nice.
