UP’s F7s were in service from about 1951-1964. See http://utahrails.net/all-time/classic-index.php.

The first GP15-1s were acquired in the Missouri Pacific merger as of about 1983, and continue in use today. More showed up in the 1990s. http://utahrails.net/all-time/all-time-loco-chron-03.php . The “UPY” yard service lettering was applied to GP15-1s starting in 2000 http://utahrails.net/all-time/upy-index.php.
