I am realy starting to realy like these Flags. I went crazy when I caught this Train. [:p]
This was taken today.

I get to see a lot of those and they never fail to amaze me. I’m pretty patriotic and it’s good to see Uncle Pete proudly displaying Ol’ Glory.

I saw one a while ago they have some Really Fouled Horns but the
are cool to see I want to see an ACe but MACs are neat

Me too. Are these Athearn Genesis or Kato? I have one BNSF Kato but yours looks to have better detail.

The flags are cool. I kind of like it better than the BNSF Swoosh.

UP is really the only railroad that has anything patriotic on their locomotives right now…not including a few older engines such as ATSF GP60Ms that have a small flag on the cab. I see these UP units once in a while on trackage right trains on BNSF. Those in the picture are all SD70Ms, right?

Actually, they’re just plain SD70Ms. Until the ACe’s began coming in, the AC4400CWs were the only ACs in use on UP. Well, and the 90MACs/9043MACs.

CSX has small flags below their road numbers on the side of the cab.

Some of the CP engines still have the dual flags on them too!

It would really be nice if UP would run them thru the wash rack at least every time they came thru Omaha…If you havent seen them at night under lights they reflect really nice when they were clean…[2c] Danny

Speaking of UP trains running on BNSF trackage…is it my imagination or are there lots more UP trains on the BNSF triple track main from Aurora to Chicago lately…I ate my lunch at Eola today and saw three (two intermodal and one merchandise) within about 35 minutes.
